Pat Ryan – Stained Glass
Town of Hamilton
I was introduced to stained glass work at an Elderhostel workshop in 1994. I’ve enjoyed presenting my efforts at local crafts shows, farmers’ markets and gift shops throughout Central New York. Working with glass for the last twelve years has been an adventure in giving form to spiritual, abstract, and everyday concepts. Each piece is a challenge- choosing the color and texture, picking the right design or creating one of my own, and shaping the glass to fit--to create something more than a collection of discrete scraps.
Someone once said,” Every gaudy color is a bit of truth.” If this is true, I have found it in the glass I’m working with everyday.
I hope you will enjoy and share in that truth.
From custom-fit cabinet doors and window glass to mirrors and jewelry boxes, I invite you to explore the possibilities of your own personal expression with stained glass to brighten up your home or to “enlighten” the perfect gift.
